We depart from Cusco heading south to explore the Southern Valley, a region rich in history and culture. Our first stop is Tipón, an impressive Inca archaeological complex known for its agricultural terraces and perfectly functioning irrigation canals. Next, we continue to Pikillacta, an ancient pre-Inca city belonging to the Wari culture, notable for its advanced urban planning and architecture. This site offers a fascinating glimpse into life before the rise of the Inca Empire. To conclude our tour, we visit Andahuaylillas, where we explore the Church of San Pedro, often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of America” due to its stunning frescoes and ornate interior.
